Alpha Transport, Inc. is a locally owned transportation company based in Salt Lake City, Utah that began operations in 1953 as Johnson Oil Company. In 1990 the name was changed to Alpha Transport, Inc. to reflect our most current services. Starting with just three trucks and five employees in 1990 Alpha has grown too a fleet size of more than forty trucks and over sixty employees, with terminals in Utah and Idaho. Alpha Transport specializes in servicing a customer base that includes distribution of bulk petroleum products such as; gasoline, distillates, light motor oils and aviation products.

In 2003 Alpha Transport diversified its fleet and created a new division called Alpha Express. Alpha Express is a truck load fleet that delivers general commodities such as paper goods, plastics and chemicals to the 24 Western States with the ability to service all 48 states in the continental United States.

Alpha Transport has a reputation of focusing on customer satisfaction. We give special attention to our customers' needs to insure that their products will be delivered in a professional and safe manner. Our drivers are employees continually trained to recognizing customers' needs, and our safety program is ongoing to minimize risk to our employees, which assures that the public is served with the highest possible degree of safety.
